Rotated Tab LayoutXtreme DockingPane allows you to change the orientation of the pane tabs. Depending on the position of the tabs, you can give the tab control a totally different look. You can display tabs "rotated" from their natural position which will cause the caption of the tabs displayed on the top or bottom to be displayed vertically, and tabs displayed on the left or right to be displayed horizontally.
